The focus is on high performance computing (HPC), which also includes blockchain technology and the mining of cryptocurrencies, as well as the field of artificial intelligence. Bitkern has been offering professional market participants access to promising technologies and to the cryptocurrency market and their underlying technology, through specialised concepts since 2019. The Bitkern Group has branches in Austria, Switzerland and the United States of America, as well as further production sites in North America and Northern Europe.

In order to continue our ambitious growth goals in the emerging market of high performance computing (HPC) and data center operations, we are strengthening our successful team in Austria. We are therefore looking for a Junior IT specialist (m/f).

Your tasks:

  • Support in the planning, implementation, installation and configuration of the IT infrastructure (server and clients)
  • Configuration and documentation of network solutions
  • Automation of existing IT processes
  • Participation in the continuous improvement and automation of IT processes
  • General administrative tasks, reporting, as well as monitoring of IT systems
  • Independent project work

Your profile:

  • Completed IT training (university, technical college or HTL)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (B2, C1)
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 30%)
  • Ability to work in a team and a high degree of personal responsibility and enjoyment of IT
  • Solid technical IT basic knowledge in the client, server and network area
  • Specialised knowledge in the following areas is an advantage: Routing and switching, VPN, DHCP, DNS, VMware, Linux, Exchange, Office 365, AD
  • Windows Server
  • Network technique (IPv4, Proxy, DNS)
